I like how you start it out with a more "human" intro. At my Company we do AD sync with OID and add to that a custom registration system (a pl/sql Oracle app) that also links with OID for new registrants and changes. As a developer, I don't need to know all the details, but your talk was a good drop down to a level that increased my understanding.
